CPD STUDIO

Feed Working independently or with a modular network of creatives, I've recently made short films, rebranded and produced a site for a sound design company, created TV idents, animated stadium visuals for bands, directed an animated R&D film for a technology company and produced art applications for digital picture frames in Japan. In the past I've worked on global advertising campaigns, designed websites and created illustrations for magazines. Constantly engaging with new tools and methods to create evocative work.

Monumental hubris, preserved and displayed as archaeological finds from a collapsed modern world. High resolution prints imagining the curated remains of an ancient forgotten century.

A short film about life and premature enlightenment.

Freefarm

Complete rebrand of Freefarm sound design. Involving an Identity that responds to audio in the site, the entire Freefarm back catalogue being brought to life through a visualiser powered by sound cloud, and a short documentary on studio practice, also produced by us.

A short film about Sound Designer Simon Pyke/Freefarm. Shot in Brighton over one day at his house, studio and the surrounding area.

Primal Scream Visuals

10 minute colour odyssey to accompany Higher Than The Sun in the Screamadelica Live shows of 2010-11, including Glastonbury 2011.

Still Life

An artwork interested in the paradigm of still life paining for the framed* device. This work creates a living piece from the standard subject matter of still life painting, a painting that desires to be viewed, and indeed will wilt if not. This flower hungers for attention, not water.

Mythologies

Art application for the framed* device. A Never-ending deluge containing hundreds of made objects, exuding a consensus of negotiated and manufactured reality.

Wired logo/Hair Piece generator

A commission from Wired an interview on the CR blog.

A Performance

Two splines gravitate towards data points captured from a dancer in a balletic display generated by the computer, but controlled by the performance. Created to generate collateral material for the Centre for Performance Research.

Datashuffle

The same image was saved in different file formats. The image data is shuffled to reveal the amount of information contained in the image.

Qompendium/Manystuff print

Print for an exhibition hosted by Qompendium and curated by Manystuff.

Aquatint etching. Image making that involves waiting in the process is the best, especially if it also involves acid and dangerous chemicals.
