It Felt Like a Kiss I strongly recommend watching the full 54 minutes of Adam Curtis’s film It Felt Like a Kiss. The music is fantastic and the archive footage is well researched and made even more powerful by the editing. To represent decades of American history within a nightmare hallucination, fast paced as a trailer for a blockbuster, and present it with the straight face of a documentary adds to your disorientation. The narrative threads throughout the film were woven together in the performance of It Felt Like a Kiss at the MIF. It’s a fitting counterpoise to all the backslapping and celebration flying around over the anniversary of the Apollo landings. The film focuses on the same era of American history, but decides to tell a different story.
